A tour of the Port of Saint-Malo
Just a stone’s throw from the Palais du Grand Large, the port of Saint-Malo proves to be much more than just a stopover for seafarers. The economic heart of this pirate town, it brings together within a few kilometres a diversity of port activities rarely seen in France: ferry services to the Channel Islands and England, cargo traffic, a fishing fleet, shipbuilding and repair yards, yachting and boat maintenance...
During a 90-minute guided tour, discover the inner workings of this multi-purpose port and its infrastructure. Immerse yourself in a dynamic logistics and industrial ecosystem, which naturally resonates with the transport and supply chain challenges at the heart of Top Transport Saint-Malo.
Pick-up will take place immediately after the lunchtime cocktail reception at the foot of the Palais du Grand Large at 2 pm on Thursday 11 June 2026.
Port of Saint-Malo
What if your cargo were to pass through Saint-Malo tomorrow?
As a multi-purpose port on the Channel coast, the Port of Saint-Malo supports trade, transport and the maritime industries in its region. A commercial port, ferry terminal, fishing port, cruise port and shipbuilding and repair centre, it boasts comprehensive infrastructure and services: quays and terminals, warehouses, cargo handling, crane services, storage, transit, customs, pilotage and towage.
With around 1 million tonnes of goods handled each year, Saint-Malo has historically served the Breton agricultural sector, whilst supporting the diversification of traffic: bulk cargo, construction materials, and flows linked to energy, the maritime sector and industry. Thanks to its location on the Channel coast, close to England and the Channel Islands, the Port of Saint-Malo also serves as a local logistics hub for shippers in its hinterland.
Our ambition is clear: to support the development of bespoke logistics chains, tailored to the industrial constraints and competitiveness challenges faced by local businesses. With this in mind, we aim to identify, consolidate and structure volumes in collaboration with shippers and operators, in order to unlock new opportunities for port transhipment via Saint-Malo and to develop our services to closely align with the needs on the ground.
